Timed to coincide with Black History Month in February, PoliPointPress is releasing NEVER IN MY WILDEST DREAMS, a memoir by Belva Davis that recounts her long career in journalism and her role as a pioneering feminist and labor activist. She is the recipient of numerous awards and honors in recognition of her work, including eight regional Emmys.
If it wasn’t for journalist Belva Davis, many minorities and women in media wouldn’t be where they are today. Her ability to break through racial and gender barriers paved the way for many. Gwen Ifill, moderator and managing editor of “Washington Week” and senior correspondent for “The PBS Newshour,” tweeted about Belva’s book recently, calling it “terrific.” Accolades for Belva and her book have been pouring in from around the country.
Belva Davis will be appearing at Vroman’s in Pasadena on Monday, Feb. 28 at 7:00 p.m. and at Eso Won in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Mar. 1 at 6:30 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.
