Urban Media Foundation Director to Speak to BJASC

Sherion Johnson, Director of External Relations & Fund Development at the Urban Media Foundation, is scheduled to speak at BJASC’s monthly chapter meeting on Saturday, May 15th at 11 a.m.

The Urban Media Foundation conducts an innovative and comprehensive youth education program in the most underserved areas of Los Angeles. Their mission is to educate, mentor and advocate for disadvantaged inner-city students who have an interest in journalism, news literacy, media technology and communications.

The Black Journalists Association of Southern California meets at the AFTRA Headquarters in the Mid-Wilshire district. Dues are $50 for working journalists, $30 for associate members and $15 for student members.
